- Postponement Announced for Paralympics Triathlon Event

Postponed Paralympic Triathlon in Paris due to bad water conditions in the Seine. Swimming isn't safe due to the poor quality of water. The event has been moved to a day later.

The situation remains unclear if the Triathlon can happen on Monday, as water quality checks continue. Heavy rain and adverse weather conditions have led to a surge in bacterial growth in the Seine. The original schedule on Monday was adjusted due to weather predictions.

Back-to-back tests have shown a drop in the Seine's water quality, making it unfit for swimming at the Pont Alexandre III, originally planned as the competition venue. The set standards have been surpassed. Similar incidents led to the postponement of Triathlon races during the Olympics due to poor water quality.

The ongoing heavy rain and adverse weather conditions have significantly contributed to the surge in bacterial growth in the Seine, negatively affecting its water quality. As a result, the water quality checks remain crucial to determine if the Paralympic Triathlon can proceed on Monday.
