Favorites dominate the eleventh stage of the Tour de France with Tadej Pogacar launching an attack that splits the group of classification riders, only for Jonas Vingegaard to fight back and win the stage. Primoz Roglic crashes shortly before the finish and loses valuable seconds.

Defending champion Jonas Vingegaard won the thrilling eleventh stage of the Tour de France ahead of Tadej Pogacar. The Danish Tour winner from Team Jumbo-Visma broke away from the peloton on the challenging section in the Central Massif before the Slovenian overall leader. Third place after 211 kilometers in Le Lioran went to Remco Evenepoel (Belgium/Soudal Quick-Step). The Slovenian Primoz Roglic from the German Team Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe crashed shortly before the finish and lost valuable seconds.

Pogacar and Vingegaard engaged in a thrilling duel over the last approximately 15 kilometers, which Vingegaard decided in a tight sprint.

There will be more of this on Thursday, before the Pyrenees await the riders over the weekend.
