Peterka scores his sixth goal of the season in Buffalo win
German national ice hockey player JJ Peterka played an important role in the Buffalo Sabres' seventh win of the season.
In the 3-2 (1-1, 1-0, 1-1) home win over the Minnesota Wild, the World Championship silver medalist scored one goal and set up another.
Peterka scored early in the final period to give Buffalo a 3-1 lead, the 21-year-old forward's sixth goal of the season in the North American Hockey League. Peterka set up Jeff Skinner for the 2:1 lead in the second period. For the second time this season, the Munich native recorded two scoring points in one game.
Nico Sturm and the San Jose Sharks were clearly beaten by the defending champion Vegas Golden Knights: The 5-0 (0-2, 0-0, 0-3) away defeat left the Sharks without a goal in a game for the third time this season. With a record of 2:11 wins, the team from San Jose is still the weakest in the entire NHL.
JJ Peterka's impressive performance continued in the NHL, as he notched another goal and an assist against the Minnesota Wild, contributing to the Buffalo Sabres' victory. In the same game, Peterka reached a new milestone by scoring his sixth goal in the ice hockey league known as the NHL, playing for the Buffalo Sabres.
