- Over the past several years, that's the activity the television celebrity has been engaged in.

On September 14th, he reappears on TV through a boxing match against Regina Halmich (47). Throughout his extensive entertainment career, which spans over five decades, Steve R. (57) has orchestrated numerous TV successes. His last broadcast was in the 55th edition of "Batten Down the Hatches against Steve R." in December 2015. Since then, he's been focusing on TV projects from behind the scenes.

"The Year's Creation"

From 2018 to 2020, the innovative show "The Year's Creation" aired on Seven Six. Steve R. not only introduced the concept but also served as the producer. In "The Year's Creation", inventors faced off against each other in battles. The audience decided on the best innovation in the finale. A panel of experts, including Laura T. (36) and Joe W. (45), assessed the submitted inventions. The third and final season aired on March 29, 2020.

"Headis World Championship" and "Fame Star"

In March 2020, the sports-oriented TV event "The 1st Headis Team-World Championship" followed. This was a "table tennis with a twist" tournament where players could only use their heads to hit a rubber ball back and forth. Six teams, each consisting of a Headis pro and a famous personality, competed against each other. Eddie (53) hosted the event. It remains a one-time live show so far.

In September 2020, "Fame Star" began on Seven Six. In it, Carolin C. (44), Luke M. (35), and Teddy T. (41) selected and coached candidates without prior knowledge of their singing abilities. The candidates performed under a soundproof glass dome. Tom N. (35), who won the European Song Contest in 2014 as Conchita Wurst, hosted the show. After the first season in 2020, there were no further episodes of "Fame Star".

"Freedom European Song Contest" and "Freshly Roasted Daily"

Due to the Corona pandemic, the "European Song Contest 2020" could not take place. Steve R. swiftly developed an alternative program. In May, Seven Six broadcast the "Freedom European Song Contest", or "FreedomESC", during prime time. As a producer, Steve R. described the show as "the birth of a new, free European song competition" prior to its broadcast.

Less than two months after the "Freedom European Song Contest 2020", Steve R. announced another TV project – but not for his longtime broadcasting home, Seven Six. The entertainer produced the late-night show "Freshly Roasted Daily" exclusively for the streaming service TVNow (now RTL+) starting in November 2020. After the show was moved to linear TV on RTL, it was discontinued after 40 episodes in April 2021.

"RTL Diving Tower", "Wok-World Championship" and "Autoball World Championship"

In 2022, three shows from Steve R.'s stable made a comeback. While the "TV total Wok-World Championship" (last aired in November 2023) and the "TV total Autoball World Championship" continued to air on his former home station Seven Six, the legendary diving event moved to RTL approximately two years ago. Ten celebrities compete in individual diving and celebrity pairs in synchronized diving. The third edition of the RTL format aired in January 2024. The RTL version will return to Seven Six as "TV Total Diving 2024" and be produced by Brainpool on September 21, 2024.

Steve R. was involved in the revival of "TV total" with host Sebastian P. (47) since November 2021 and as a producer of "Batten Down the Hatches against a Star" since 2018. In late 2023, Steve R. withdrew from the company Brainpool and its associated production company Raab TV. The show "American Ice Hockey" aired in February 2024 under his supervision. Steve R. and Brainpool started their collaboration for "TV total" and Raab TV in 1998. Since 2024, Brainpool holds the exclusive rights to well-known Raab formats such as "TV total", "Batten Down the Hatches against a Star", or "Batten Down the Hatches against the Best". While "TV total" and "Batten Down the Hatches against a Star" continue to air on Seven Six without Steve R.'s involvement, "Batten Down the Hatches against the Best" is broadcast on RTL with an adjusted concept since 2024. Even the discontinued "Shaming or Paying Up" moved to RTL.

However, since leaving Brainpool, Steve R. hasn't been idle. Together with former Seven Six boss Daniel R. (44), the TV titan has founded a new company: Raab Entertainment. The first project of the company is a show during the current football European Championship in Germany. In "The RTL European Championship Studio - All Games, Goals, Emotions", Jan K. (41) and Eddie reported on the highlights from the European Championship games. Moreover, the game show "Eddie's 12", produced by Raab Entertainment and hosted by Eddie, is set to go into production this fall, with broadcasting scheduled for winter 24/25.

Gossips about the return of the well-known TV figure were sparked by Raab himself. In the spring, the entertainer hinted at a potential return alongside Elton in an enigmatic Instagram video. Following this, he unveiled some surprising news: He still had unfinished business - a rematch against former boxing world champion Regina Halmich, whom he challenged to another fight. Halmich agreed: "First, the bad news: Stefan will only return if I face him in the ring. And now, the good news: I've got nothing better to do on September 14. We're set for a rematch!" The 47-year-old also shared with "Bild" newspaper: "He knows it's a thrill and a huge ratings boost. He'll only come back for this one fight. He wants to leave a lasting impact." It's yet to be seen what path Raab will take in his career post-boxing match.

As suggested by media magazine "DWDL", RTL is aiming to collaborate with Stefan Raab beyond the boxing event. RTL Germany is reportedly committed to investing at least 90 million euros into Raab and Rosemann's production company, according to "Bild" newspaper. Raab is said to have devised a brand new format for RTL. The show, slated for broadcast the week after the match, aims to discover a successor to take over from Raab's television legacy. Furthermore, according to "DWDL", Raab is rumored to be focusing on his strong passion for Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) and has plans to organize the German qualifying round.

After the boxing match announcement, fans began eagerly anticipating the return of Steve R. to TV. To show their support, they were encouraged to hit the star on RTL's website.

The upcoming show on RTL, aiming to discover a successor to take over from Raab's television legacy, sparked curiosity among fans. They were excited to see who would emerge as the new face of TV entertained by Steve R. for years.
