The Olympic Games 2024 in Paris begin on Friday evening with a novelty. For the first time, the Opening Ceremony will not take place in an Olympic Stadium, but on the Seine River, where Olympians will pass by the landmarks of the French capital on boats. Fans and interested parties can watch live on TV or stream online.

In Germany, the ARD will broadcast the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games 2024. The Sportschau with the pre-report starts at 18:00 hours, Moderator Alexander Bommes (48) conducts the program.
