People and TV - Olli Schulz is preparing mustard for Boehmann
Actor, musician, and podcaster Olli Schulz is one of the guests for the fourth season of ZDF's summertime cooking and talk format "Böhmermann brutzelt". The show's motto is "A kitchen, two people, and two meals". It is recorded in a show kitchen in Cologne-Bickendorf.
Böhmermann and Schulz have been a radio- and podcast team for approximately twelve years (first with "Sanft & Sorgfältig", since 2016 with "Fest & Flauschig"). In the episode with Schulz (available online in the Mediathek from 23.7.), Böhmermann cooks goulash - "and Olli the dish that best represents the spirit of Germany: pepper steak".
Semino Rossi cooked paella beforehand (available online from 16.7.). The menu included squid, shrimps, mussels, and a lot of garlic. In other episodes, there are dishes like "Spargel-Ricotta Pierogi" by influencer-pioneer Dagi Bee and "Swine Medalions with Pear and Hagebutten Sauce" by moderator Katrin Bauerfeind.
The show with entertainer Jan Böhmermann (43) is available weekly in the ZDF Mediathek on Tuesdays (previously Fridays), starting on 16. July. Linear broadcasts begin on ZDFneo on Saturdays - from 20. July (19.45 h) until 24. August. Other guests for the six-part staffel 2024, according to ZDF, include comedian Tahsim Durgun and internet artist Sveamaus.
Summer break fillers for "ZDF Magazin Royale"
Böhmermann, when asked why he continues to cook with famous guests, responds: "To bring people who love cooking shows and people who hate cooking shows equally to a boil." The show has been offered as a format during ZDF Magazin Royale's summer break since 2021.
In the previous season, guests included Anke Engelke and Iris Berben, as well as Tokio Hotel musicians Bill and Tom Kaulitz and entertainer Ina Müller. In the first season, approximately the dancer and juror Motsi Mabuse and pianist Igor Levit cooked.
