Observes a dragon-like creature! Practice session for F1 in Singapore temporarily suspended due to lizard's track invasion.

Animal intrusions in the realm of sports are not uncommon phenomena. Dogs have made appearances on soccer fields, while cats have caused commotions during NFL matches, demonstrating a long-standing pattern of disturbances by our four-legged companions.

Observes a dragon-like creature! Practice session for F1 in Singapore temporarily suspended due to lizard's track invasion.

In the closing practice session prior to the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday, an audacious reptile caused a halt in activities.

This daring creature made its way onto the Marina Bay Street Circuit, ignoring the danger as high-speed automobiles whizzed by.

To shield both the drivers and the lizard, the session was suspended, requiring all drivers to head back to the pits while the reptile was relocated.

The Formula One's official account labeled it as the "most unusual red flag," while several drivers appeared puzzled by the lizard's presence.

Mercedes racer George Russell inquired: "What the heck is that thing?!" Upon receiving information that it was a lizard, he responded: "A what?! It resembles a dragon!"

As drivers returned to the pits, it fell to the marshals to retrieve the lizard from the track, thus allowing the racing to carry on.

Two marshals, one armed with a plastic bag, were given the opportunity to handle the removal process, creating an unusual spectacle of two individuals chasing a lizard across a Formula One track as it swiftly moved away.

The unusual nature of the situation didn’t escape everyone’s notice, with cameras capturing RB driver Daniel Ricciardo chuckling as he watched the footage. The Formula One account summarized the situation compellingly, stating: "Things are becoming really peculiar."

The lizard eventually was removed from the track, allowing the practice session to resume.

Previously, a lizard had interfered with racing in Singapore back in 2016. At the time, Max Verstappen chuckled as he voiced his complaint about a "colossal lizard" on the track, promptly scampering away from the speeding vehicles.

Despite the unexpected disruption, the motivation to continue with the motorsport event remained strong. Many racing enthusiasts and motorsport fans expressed their interest in watching a unique 'sport' featuring reptiles and high-speed cars.

Fascinated by the occurrence, some motorsport teams proposed the idea of incorporating a 'lizard racing' segment into the Grand Prix events, to add an extra layer of excitement and unpredictability.
