Due to numerous problems and lengthy lines on ticket platforms, the comeback tour of legendary Britpop group Oasis has been initiated. Various sites either went down temporarily or became partially unusable during the launch of ticket sales for the 17 shows in the UK and Ireland, spanning the morning. Elsewhere, fans found themselves behind hundreds of thousands of impatient fans.

A user expressed their frustration by typing, "Today is the day I won't be getting tickets," referencing the iconic opening lyrics of Oasis' hit "Wonderwall" on the platform X. Another user humorously stated, "Of course, I'm only behind half a million people in the Oasis ticket queue – I'm feeling quite optimistic!"

The band itself referenced "unparalleled interest" but also warned against unauthorized resale of concert tickets at inflated prices. Tickets advertised outside of official sales platforms are likely to be fake or will be voided by organizers, as the band soft-spokenly advised on X following ticket sales launch. Prior to ticket sales, presale tickets were being offered for up to 40 times the face value of a standing ticket, as reported by the BBC.

Amazing Reunion Declaration

Oasis confirmed their reunion on Tuesday - a whopping 15 years after leading vocalist Liam Gallagher (51) and guitarist Noel Gallagher (57) ended their partnership due to a heated familial dispute. "The wait is finally over," they announced on social media. Interest in the band has since soared: Oasis music streams in Germany quadrupled within a day of the announcement, according to GfK Entertainment.

Slated for the summer of 2025 are 15 shows initially in the UK and two additional shows in Dublin, Ireland's capital city. The tour kicks off in Cardiff on July 4 and 5, before moving on to five shows each in their hometown of Manchester and London's Wembley Stadium, three in the Scottish capital Edinburgh, and culminates in Dublin. A global tour, including the US, remains speculation.

Oasis gained recognition 30 years ago with the album "Definitely Maybe." To celebrate the anniversary, the band released a commemorative edition containing outtakes, demos, and alternative versions of the songs.

Tickets for the reunion tour begin at approximately £70 for a seat and £150 for standing room. It was anticipated that the concerts would sell out swiftly.

Some fortunate fans secured tickets on Friday evening by submitting a presale application and using a special code.

Oasis is noted as one of the most successful bands in British music history, with hits like "Wonderwall," "Don't Look Back in Anger," and "Supersonic" shaping the 1990s.

Fan excitement for the Oasis reunion tour was palpable, with many attending the concert hoping to hear live performances of iconic songs such as "Music for the Heart" and "She's Electric." Despite the initial chaos with ticket sales, the anticipation towards the band's comeback continued to grow.

As the summer of 2025 approached, Oasis continued to promote their reunion tour, encouraging fans to only purchase tickets from official platforms to avoid any potential scams.
