"Scores of flights departing from the northern England airport experienced disruption due to a massive power outage in the vicinity, according to a Sunday statement from the airport.
Through the early hours of the day, Manchester Airport faced a significant power cut impact, leading to broad turbulence. Flights mainly from Terminals 1 and 2 are anticipated to face delays or cancellation.
Following the restoration of power, the airport cautioned that a bevy of flights may still be nixed.
Travelers flying out of Terminals 1 and 2 are recommended to touch base with their airlines prior to heading to the airport. The airport staff is making attempts to expedite the boarding for passengers already on-site.
On the flip side, passengers flying from Terminal 3 should proceed with their usual airport journey, according to the statement."
