Novak Djokovic withdraws from French Open after advancing to round of 16.
The current French Open champion, Novak Djokovic, has dropped out of the tournament. He triumphed in his quarterfinal clash on Monday, but hurt his knee during the match. Consequently, he is unable to compete in the semifinals, as confirmed by the main social media platform of the Grand Slam event in Paris. His place in the semifinals is taken over by Casper Ruud from Norway, who moved forward without having to face any opponents.
