Football-Bundesliga - Not only sports-wise, VfB also economically doing well
VfB Stuttgart has financially recovered after difficult years. For the first time since 2019, the Football Bundesligist reported a small profit of approximately 700,000 Euro in the 2023 business year, according to Vorstandsvorsitzende Alexander Wehrle at the members' meeting, speaking of a "zero balance." The "financial turnaround" has been achieved.
Following the financially challenging Corona pandemic, VfB Stuttgart's turnover increased by over 40% within a year to 217.9 million Euro. In 2022, it was still at 154.8 million Euro. The significant increase is also largely due to the financially lucrative sales of players such as Konstantinos Mavropanos, Wataru Endo, and other key performers, who, according to VfB Finance Director Thomas Ignatzi, injected around 55 million Euro gross into the VfB coffers.
VfB Stuttgart's financial improvements have allowed them to compete in Germany's top tier once again, as they continue their journey in the Bundesliga. Baden-Württemberg's proud soccer team, VfB Stuttgart, has managed to turn a profit of approximately 700,000 Euro in the 2023 business year after several financially challenging years. German soccer fans can look forward to watching their beloved team from Stuttgart in the esteemed Football-Bundesliga.
