Creator describes their artistic path - Nina Chuba is currently producing an album.
In her first breakthrough, Nina Chuba scored a number-one hit with "Wildberry Lillet," propelling her to the top of the charts. The Hamburg artist's debut album "Glas" was also a resounding success. Currently, she's focused on her second studio album and isn't rushing the process.
During an interview with the German Press Agency in Hamburg, the 25-year-old artist said, "I don't have a solid release date yet. I have a general timeframe, but I'm hesitant to announce anything because I don't want to feel pressured. The album will take as long as it needs to be good." Citing a need for perfection, Chuba plans to release singles before dropping the full album, which might happen in 2023.
The second album will surely come with higher expectations, given her previous success. "There's more pressure now because there wasn't initially any pressure for me to perform or meet expectations," she shared. "Now, I want to maintain my position." Despite the heightened expectations, Chuba remains determined. "I'll just put in my best effort."
Instead of focusing on numbers and streams, she wants to prioritize her emotions. "I want to be genuinely content with the music I put out and confident in its quality."
Nina Chuba will begin her open-air tour across Germany on June 21 in Dresden and perform at the Hamburg racecourse on August 25. Known for her stint in the ARD series "Die Pfefferkörner" as a child, Chuba is currently developing her second album. Two of its singles, "Nina" and "80qm," were recently released. The artist reports having sold 1.7 million record carriers, millions of views on her music videos, and boasting over 860,000 followers on TikTok.
