Nicole Kidman states that the production of Season 3 for 'Big Little Lies' is occurring rapidly.
During an interview with Reese Witherspoon, Kidman revealed they would indeed be filming a third season of "Big Little Lies." Witherspoon jokingly mentioned that Kidman had already said too much about the show's status, as it was initially a limited series.
Kidman shared her excitement, saying, "We need to shut up. There's a whole thing about how you should never talk about something until you've done it because if you talk about doing it then it's the dopamine hit of doing it and you feel like you've done it. It's a scientific study."
Despite her sense of enthusiasm, Kidman couldn't resist providing an update on the project. "We're moving fast and furious," she said, "Liane [Moriarty] is delivering the book. We're in good shape."
In January, Kidman had told Entertainment Tonight that they weren't sure about the future of the popular show. "We are obviously all devastated at the loss of Jean-Marc Vallée," she said, referring to the late director who worked on the first season before his passing in 2021. "That made us go, 'Can we move forward?' But Reese [Witherspoon] and I, and all of the other women, have decided, yes we can."
Andrea Arnold directed Season 2, which has received eight Emmy Awards throughout the two seasons and revolves around a group of Californian women and a murder.
Joining Kidman and Witherspoon for the show are Shailene Woodley, Zoë Kravitz, Laura Dern, Adam Scott, Alexander Skarsgård, Kathryn Newton, and Meryl Streep.
