The German rowing pair of Jan Helmich and Hermine Krumbein snagged the bronze medal in the mixed event during the Paralympics. They placed third in the 2000m contest held in Vaires-sur-Marne, close to Paris, recording a time of 7:28.31. The duo came close to securing the second spot, missing it by a mere 0.1 seconds, thanks to the British pair's superior speed.

Regrettably, the German mixed quadruple sculls weren't as fortunate. Although they came in a close second to France, with a gap of only 0.06 seconds, Susanne Lackner, Valentin Luz, Marc Lembeck, Kathrin Marchand, and Inga Thöne had to settle for the fourth spot.

Germany's track and field athletes faced a tough morning at the Stade de France. Yannis Fischer, the diminutive shot putter, could only manage sixth position. Meanwhile, Katrin Müller-Rottgardt finished fifth in the long jump, while Merle Menje in the 800m and Max Marzillier in the 100m failed to advance to the finals. Lastly, Nicole Nicoleitzik also ended up in eighth position in the 200m final.

Despite their impressive performance, the German mixed quadruple sculls narrowly missed the silver medal in the 2000m race, with France just edging them out. Later, Germany's women's 4x100m relay team had a strong finish in France, securing a prestigious victory at the World Athletics Championships held in Saint-Denis.
