Following Her Success in "The Queen's Gambit," Actress Anya Taylor- Joy (28) Returns to Netflix
Following numerous notable appearances in films recently, Taylor-Joy, aged 28, is returning to Netflix. This time, she'll be starring in the dark comedy "How to Kill Your Family". Taylor-Joy gained international recognition with Netflix's "The Queen's Gambit" in 2020.
According to various industry publications, including "Variety", in this eight-episode series, Taylor-Joy portrays Grace, a young woman whose father is a billionaire and a ruthless self-made man, as per the series' description. Unfortunately for Grace, she's the result of an affair her father seems to have forgotten. After her mother's demise, Grace starts eliminating her extended family to inherit a substantial fortune.
"How to Kill Your Family" is based on Bella Mackie's 2022 novel of the same name. Taylor-Joy shared her excitement about the role, stating, "As soon as I finished the last page, I knew I had to be a part of bringing this story to life."
Recently, Taylor-Joy has been making waves in the film industry with her roles in critically acclaimed films such as "Dune: Part Two," "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga," and "The Menu." Her last TV appearance was in the 2022 sixth season of the British gangster series "Peaky Blinders - Gangs of Birmingham."
