Nagelsmann nominates two debutants

Julian Nagelsmann has called up two more unexpected debutants for the national team for the last international matches of the year.

The national coach has named Werder Bremen attacker Marvin Ducksch and RB Leipzig goalkeeper Janis Blaswich in his squad of 27 players for his home debut against Turkey in Berlin on November 18 and the clash against Austria in Vienna three days later.

Serge Gnabry of FC Bayern Munich and Leipzig's Benjamin Henrichs as well as Dortmund's Felix Nmecha are also back in the squad. Nagelsmann will have to do without Bayern youngster Jamal Musiala due to his muscle injury.

Führich and Andrich also back

Bernd Leno, David Raum and Kevin Behrens are no longer part of the squad compared to the national coach's debut in October against the USA (3-1) and Mexico (2-2). Once again, RB attacker Timo Werner, Nico Schlotterbeck and his injured BVB colleague Emre Can were not included. In contrast to Behrens, October newcomers Chris Führich and Robert Andrich are allowed to audition once again in the group of European Championship candidates.

"I'm really looking forward to these two games. It's going to be emotional and loud. There will also be a lot of Turkish fans in the stadium in Berlin. And against Austria, it's a neighborhood duel, a prestige duel in a beautiful city and in a stadium steeped in history. It will certainly be an extraordinary atmosphere and an important game for us in Vienna too. These are two tests that we want to make the most of and which are characterized by emotionality," said Nagelsmann when announcing the squad.

After the test matches, Nagelsmann will face the eagerly awaited draw for the European Championship groups on December 2 in Hamburg. The next European Championship tests will then take place at the end of March. Two games against well-known competitors are planned.

Julian Nagelsmann has selected Marvin Ducksch from Werder Bremen and Janis Blaswich from RB Leipzig, two debutants, for the upcoming national team matches against Turkey and Austria. The DFB team coach has also included players like Serge Gnabry from Bayern Munich and Leipzig's Benjamin Henrichs in his squad of 27 players. Despite their absence, young Bayern star Jamal Musiala and injured BVB player Emre Can continue to miss out on selection due to injuries.
