Nagelsmann needs a replacement for Musiala
The small hope for Jamal Musiala did not come true for Julian Nagelsmann.
The 20-year-old Bayern dribbler will not be available for the last two international matches of the year due to his muscle injury and will therefore not be on the national team's squad sheet, which the national coach will present via the German Football Association's social media channels at 10.00 am.
No attacking duo of Musiala/Wirtz
Nagelsmann will therefore have to change his plans ahead of his home debut against Turkey on November 18 in Berlin and three days later against Austria in Vienna. With Musiala out, there will also be no youngster duo with Florian Wirtz in the attacking midfield center of the national team this time, which was still convincing against the USA (3:1) and Mexico (2:2) in October.
Even if Nagelsmann always emphasizes the "here and now" in which he wants to move. He no longer has many test options before the European Championship. The international double-header is the penultimate date before the tournament squad is named in May. Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has voluntarily postponed a DFB comeback until next year after a long injury break. Joshua Kimmich, on the other hand, is available again after suffering from the flu in October, which forced him to return early from America. It is also possible that Serge Gnabry will make his debut under Nagelsmann as national team coach following the Munich player's injury absence last month.
