Musiala's absence is noticeable in Bayern's significant match, with Nagelsmann promptly responding

Unfortunate news for Bayern Munich and Germany national team: The title holders will have to play without Jamal Musiala in Sunday's Bundesliga encounter against Eintracht Frankfurt (5:30 PM/DAZN and live coverage available at ntv.de) just like head coach Julian Nagelsmann will in the forthcoming Nations League fixtures. Musiala was only brought on in the second half of Bayern's 0:1 Champions League defeat against Aston Villa by Vincent Kompany due to workload management. The midfielder will be out for a while due to hip joint discomfort, as announced by the club.

As per the German Football Association (DFB), Musiala won't be joining the team in Herzogenaurach as scheduled on Monday. Nagelsmann has selected Stuttgart newcomer Jamie Leweling as a substitute for Jamal in the matches against Bosnia on October 11 in Zenica and the traditional encounter against the Netherlands on October 14 in Munich. The 23-year-old has previously represented the German U19, U20, and U21 teams. Leweling is now the sixth professional from Stuttgart to be included in Nagelsmann's 23-man squad.

"He delivers impressive performances, is a threat in front of goal, and is extremely challenging to defend due to his speed and physique," stated Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeneß about the Nuremberg-native, with experience in Greuther Fürth and Union Berlin, not too long ago. "He's also highly disciplined defensively and is always ready to defend. That makes him a valuable asset to us," Hoeneß added.

Nagelsmann will have to find replacements for three crucial players during the Nations League matches. Besides Musiala, star goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen (patellar tendon tear in the right knee) from FC Barcelona and striker Niclas Füllkrug are also out. Füllkrug is still recovering from Achilles tendon issues. For the first time, Nagelsmann has chosen Borussia Mönchengladbach forward Tim Kleindienst to fill in for Füllkrug.

Despite Jamal Musiala's absence due to hip joint discomfort, FC Bayern Munich will continue their rigorous schedule, missing him in their Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt and upcoming Nations League fixtures. In Musiala's absence, Stuttgart newcomer Jamie Leweling has been selected by Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann to replace the midfielder for the upcoming Nations League matches against Bosnia and Netherlands.
