Moving from Niclas's pitcher to West Ham is perfect.
After just one year, Niclas Füllkrug is already leaving the BVB. Several transfer journalists report that the DFB striker is moving to England. He is expected to be presented at West Ham United shortly.
The transfer of football national player Niclas Füllkrug to England is reportedly already done, according to multiple media outlets. The 31-year-old striker of Borussia Dortmund is said to sign his new contract with West Ham United today, Monday, and be bound to the London club until the summer of 2027, as reported by transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. Sky News reporter Patrick Berger also reported that the transfer will be officially announced today.
On Saturday, the BVB announced that Füllkrug had been "released for talks with another club." Füllkrug left the training camp in Bad Ragaz on Saturday morning. The transfer fee is reported to be around 30 million euros. Recently, Atlético Madrid and AC Milan were also named as interested parties.
"Although the transfer is not confirmed yet, Niclas was an important player for us. I think he had some really strong moments in Dortmund. (...) He's the kind of player who can always help a team. (...) I'm really happy for him," said teammate Gregor Kobel in a Sky interview. "He's getting another big chance to fulfill his dream of playing in the Premier League. If everything goes as planned and he's officially there, I wish him all the best and hope he does well!"
The new BVB coach Nuri Sahin had previously emphasized that Füllkrug would play a central role in his plans. However, the Dortmund club also signed Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart this summer, who plays in the same position as Füllkrug.
Füllkrug only joined Dortmund from Werder Bremen last summer and signed a contract until June 30, 2026. Last season, Füllkrug reached the Champions League final with Dortmund and scored 12 goals in 29 Bundesliga games.
The reported move of Niclas Füllkrug to West Ham United in the English Football League is set to be finalized today. His anticipated signing with West Ham United will see him commit to the London club until the summer of 2027.
