In a recent interview with "W Magazine," she shared, "I'm 31 now, and I'm still unsure if I want to have children or not." Cyrus further mentioned that her fans play a special role in her life, comparing them to children. Her aunt, Dolly Parton, a country music icon, is also an example of someone who never had children and considered her fans as her adopted children.
Miley Cyrus has never been fond of traditional gender roles. In the past, she openly criticized the idea that women must "populate the planet" and the negative reactions that come with not wanting children. She argues, "If you don't want kids, people pity you like you're this cold, heartless slut who can't love."
In 2016, Cyrus added, "If you don't want children, why is there so much judgment? Why are we taught that love means putting yourself second and the ones you love first? If you love yourself, then what?"
Now, as Cyrus is being taken more seriously by the music industry, she plans on prioritizing her career and well-being. This was demonstrated when she won her first Grammy earlier this year, despite her long history of commercial success. She said, "I've been doing this for 20 years, and this is the first time I'm being taken seriously at the Grammys. If we're talking about cultural influence, where was I then? It's not about arrogance. I'm just proud of myself."
To maintain her fitness, Cyrus abstains from alcohol, drugs, and even wears Gucci slingbacks, rather than sneakers, for her workouts. She's invested in making the gym increasingly feminine, as she believes much of the workout equipment is unattractive. As a result, Miley is not only focusing on her health but also working on her style while wearing high heels.
