Michael Mosley, a 67-year-old BBC presenter, has left everyone worried as he went for a hike on the Greek island of Symi and hasn't returned since then. According to the BBC, he went for a stroll from the beach on Wednesday but only his smartphone was found in their lodgings that night, leaving no indication of his whereabouts.
The police in Greece launched a large-scale search operation that continues to this day. Assistance from the mainland has also been enlisted to aid the on-site firefighters and police officers. However, their efforts have been somewhat unsuccessful so far. They even utilized a drone and reviewed security footage without success and police dogs were unable to trail any leads.

The attention is now focused on the Pedi area on Symi, given that a woman reported seeing Mosley there. This region has a relatively high crime rate, but she observed him in a relatively safe part of the region. Mayor of the island, Eleftherios Papakalodoukas, has raised a concerning possibility: he suspects Mosley might have strayed onto an unstable hiking trail and plunged into the sea.
Inexplicably, this is only one of the numerous hypotheses about Mosley's whereabouts. The British Foreign Office has also stepped in to assist the family of the missing person and is in touch with the Greek authorities.
Michael Mosley earned his medical degree in London, but has primarily been involved in presenting, documentary making, and writing in recent times. Among his significant accolades is an Emmy for the BBC's "The Human Face" documentary and is a household name in the UK for his work on "The One Show" and "This Morning" on BBC.
