- Mbappé hits on his debut: Real wins the UEFA Super Cup
Football superstar Kylian Mbappé scored his first goal and won his first title with Real Madrid in his debut match. The Champions League winner secured the UEFA Super Cup with a 2-0 victory against Italian Europa League winners Atalanta Bergamo in Warsaw. Fede Valverde (59th minute) and Mbappé (68th) were the match winners for Carlo Ancelotti's Real team. German national player Antonio Rüdiger was also delighted with the first title win of the season. The last German to win the UEFA Super Cup was Bayern Munich in 2020.
Mbappé starts for RealAncelotti started Mbappé in the Real lineup. The 25-year-old French World Cup winner from 2018 played alongside Brazilian Vinicius Junior and former Dortmund player Jude Bellingham. However, Mbappé struggled to connect with his new teammates in the first half. Many of his attempts were thwarted by Atalanta Bergamo's defense. But he turned things around in the second half.
Atalanta had the first chances of the game. In the 25th minute, Real's Eder Militao headed the ball onto his own crossbar, preventing a goal. Two minutes later, Ederson's shot just missed Real keeper Thibaut Courtois' goal. Real's first notable chance came from Rodrygo just before halftime, but his shot hit the crossbar.

Valverde, wearing Kroos' former number 8, scored from close range after a pass from Vinicius Junior. In the 68th minute, Mbappé scored his first goal for Real. Bellingham set him up with a beautiful pass, and Mbappé finished from close range. Mbappé was substituted off to a huge ovation in the 83rd minute.
Mbappé joined Real Madrid last month, signing a contract until 2029 after leaving Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer. Fans of the Champions League winners hope that Mbappé will bring more titles to the team. He missed Real's US tour earlier this summer due to his vacation after the Euros in Germany.
