Max Eberl expresses his anger toward FC Bayern.

Bayern Munich, the FC, were eager to announce their new coach months ago. However, they're yet to find a suitable candidate, and they've faced a lot of rejections. Their director of sports, Max Eberl, is upset over this.

Eberl expressed his irritation at Bayern Munich's prolonged search for a new coach. "We said we'd be ready in April if it went to May. May is here now, and it's frustrating that things haven't panned out like we hoped," said Eberl after their 2-0 win over VfL Wolfsburg.

There's been no confirmation on who could be in the running for the job. Reports suggest that Hansi Flick, a former seven-time Munich champion, and Roberto De Zerbi, from Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion, are potential candidates. Eberl avoided discussing individual names, stating, "I won't comment on a single name until we have the deal done and the coach has signed."

Some names that have been circulating include Xabi Alonso, who won the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, as well as Julian Nagelsmann, the national coach, and current Austria team coach Ralf Rangnick. "There is a lot of hype, not just from the media, but also from the potential candidates themselves," mentioned Eberl.

Despite numerous rumors, both Xabi Alonso and Julian Nagelsmann have dismissed any links to the Munich-based club. The likelihood of Ralf Rangnick taking the job is also slim. "Talks are underway, and we're trying to find the best option. We're negotiating, and we want to find our new coach as soon as possible," said Eberl.

Eberl chose not to address the speculation surrounding Coach Thomas Tuchel's future at the club, whose last game in Munich wasn't treated like an official departure. "There was agreement in place that he’d be leaving in the summer when he took up his post in March. Both sides reconfirmed this later. So, there's no more to add on the subject."
