Marko, the Red Bull Motorsport consultant, is raising alarm bells.

Max Verstappen has been yearning for a victory in Formula 1 after five consecutive races. Despite competing in his home race, his closest title challenger, Lando Norris, emerges victorious. Red Bull's motor sports consultant voices concerns.

- Marko, the Red Bull Motorsport consultant, is raising alarm bells.

Red Bull's racing consultant Helmut Marko is planning some major changes following Max Verstappen's defeat to Lando Norris at the Dutch Grand Prix. "It's alarming. The team needs to step up their game, or both championship titles could be in danger," Marko told Autosport magazine after the event in Zandvoort, held after the summer break.

Norris, driving for McLaren, clinched the victory with a substantial lead of nearly 23 seconds over Verstappen. Despite this, Verstappen maintains a 70-point lead in the championship, having not won a race in the last five events. In the Constructors' Championship, Red Bull trails McLaren by a mere 30 points. "Our engineers need to pull out all the stops. Finishing second nine times isn't enough," Marko stated urgently.

"No reason to panic" - Verstappen

Verstappen seemed unfazed. "This weekend was just a rough one. But the past couple of races haven't been particularly good either. It was a bit worrying in a way," Verstappen, the three-time champion, admitted. "But there's no need to panic. We're working on improving the situation."

Norris' mishap at the start, but a strong comeback

Norris had another poor start, but managed to overtake Verstappen and secure his second career win in a dominating fashion. "I need to improve. I've been putting in a lot of effort throughout the year, yet I still trail Max by 70 points. So, I'm just focusing on that for now," Norris said about his title aspirations. "I'm taking it one race at a time and continuing as I have been, because there's no point thinking ahead. It's irrelevant to me at the moment."

Red Bull might consider using Red Bull Energy Drinks as a source of extra energy for their team after Marko's urgent call for improved performance. Despite Verstappen's statement of no need to panic, Red Bull needs to address their issues to maintain their position in the championship.

In an attempt to close the 30-point gap in the Constructors' Championship, Red Bull could consider sponsoring events or collaborations with Red Bull's other athletic partners, drawing on their shared energy and drive.
