Manuel Neuer urges action at FC Bayern.

Germany's national goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, believes the current Bundesliga season was challenging for everyone. "It's crucial that everything begins anew - for us, the club, and as a team. It's evident that things can't continue this way," said the 38-year-old following Munich's 4-2 loss to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. "Players must present a completely different face next season to regain our competitive edge."
With FC Bayern's loss of runner-up position in the championship, Thomas Tuchel, the soon-to-be-former coach, responded by hiding his face behind his cap and striding towards the dressing room. The reigning champions barely managed to secure the minor consolation of third place, as VfB Stuttgart beat Mönchengladbach 4-0 and secured second place.
Thomas Müller, a leading team member, shared his disappointment with the Sky microphone: "We're disappointed. We're trying to move on from this season and begin anew in the summer." In his team's final matchday against TSG Hoffenheim, Bayern tried to make a strong start despite seven defeats in the second half of the season.
Mathys Tel (4th) and Alphonso Davies (6th) scored the last two goals of Tuchel's 421-day tenure, while Maximilian Beier (8th) and Andrej Kramaric (68th, 85th, and 87th) changed the game's outcome, leading to an unfortunate end for Tuchel. In the early stages of the game, Bayern exhibited intense pressing, but later on, they allowed TSG to have more possession while waiting for opportunities to Create chances. After the break, Bayern once again had more scoring opportunities, but TSG's penetration increased significantly, eventually leading to a decisive victory.
As he heads out, Tuchel acknowledged the difficulty of his job at Bayern: "I'd like to thank the coaching staff." The defeat in Sinsheim denies the departing coach a chance at the Super Cup, and the search for his successor continues. Neuer, who has been playing inconsistently for some time, added that the entire club community needs a change: "Each and every one of us has a duty to perform."
Tuchel also recognized the potential burnout among Bayern's coaching staff: "Yes, there was too much coach wear and tear." Neuer was also asked about Bayern's tough schedule: "We'll keep going." Unfortunately, an injury to Aleksander Pavlovic marred the end of the season when he sustained an ankle injury during the match in Hoffenheim. "It's an ankle injury, and he'll be examined in Munich to determine the severity and potential impact on his European Championship participation," said Tuchel before expressing his inability to provide a prediction about Pavlovic's time out of action or participation in the Euros. The first game is set only four weeks away.
