Manchester City obliterates Klopp's final theoretical title shot.
Liverpool FC's chances of winning the championship are no longer anticipated. Instead, Manchester City, who are currently leading the league, have removed any hope Liverpool had of capturing the title by achieving success in their last calculation - they're just a step away from retaining it.
In English soccer, Manchester City has made huge progress toward defending their Premier League championship once more. Pep Guardiola's star team defeated Fulham FC 4:0 (1:0) at their London arena, causing Arsenal FC to fall from first place. Currently, Liverpool FC cannot mathematically claim the league title with their outgoing coach, Jurgen Klopp.
Former Leipzig native Josko Gvardiol netted a brace (13th/71st minute) and England international Phil Foden (59th minute) for Cityzens at Craven Cottage in London, pleasing the fans, including former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher. Julian Alvarez (90.+6) added a penalty for the powerful visitors. Fulham's Issa Diop received a red card (90.+5) as a result of a caution.
Despite two league games left, top-ranked Man City holds a two-point advantage over their closest competitor, Arsenal. If Arsenal loses to beleaguered cup finalists Manchester United on Sunday, City could seal the championship prematurely with a win against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday. This would be the fourth consecutive Premier League title for Guardiola's trophy hunters and their sixth in seven years.
Liverpool FC used to lead the Premier League in the spring, but they experienced too many setbacks and couldn't play a role in the intensely tight title race until the end. One of the many occasions was when they lost at home to Crystal Palace (0:1), who were in danger of relegation for a while.

Given Liverpool FC's current situation, Jürgen Klopp's title dreams in the Premier League appear distant. Manchester City, on the other hand, continues to dominate the league, with their recent victory over Fulham FC keeping them one step away from retaining the Premier League title, a title that Liverpool FC, despite their earlier lead, can no longer realistically claim.
