Nuptials ceremony - Lugner's sixth wedding: groom and bride have both agreed to the marriage.

The dazzling Austrian construction magnate Richard Lugner (91) has said "I do" for the sixth time. At the Vienna Town Hall, both Lugner and his bride Simone Reiländer (42) obliged.

The veteran, infamous for his flamboyant displays at the Vienna Opera Ball with his prominent partners, leaked every detail of the event to the media in advance. The elderly tycoon even made multiple media appearances until the ceremony took place. Similarly, his bride was in the spotlight: She allowed cameras to film her getting dressed, revealing her long white wedding gown, and even the store where she bought it.

The long-awaited kiss

Approximately 2 p.m., Lugner, older by 49 years, and Reiländer, hand in hand, sat in front of the registrar. About 50 spectators and a multitude of photographers were present. Reiländer visibly wiped away tears of emotion. The bride was marrying for the first time. After uttering their "yes" and exchanging rings, the customary kiss followed. Lugner remarked, "We are now bound by marriage." He claimed he disliked loneliness, hence his new marriage. Lugner has four kids from previous unions. His oldest child could be Reiländer's father - he was born in 1963. "This will be my last marriage," Lugner stated before the celebration.

Reiländer works as a deputy manager in a hardware store. There will be no honeymoon, as Lugner mentioned, since she must return to work on Tuesday. However, she has resigned from her position. Lugner intends to promote Reiländer into a leadership position in his company by summer. Lugner oversees, among other things, a shopping center in Vienna.

The despised pet name

In interviews, Lugner often referred to his earlier wives by nicknames like Mouse, Hare, and the like. In one interview, Lugner confessed Reiländer dislikes her new nickname, "Bee." He intends to honor her preference.

Were you content after the union, Lugner was inquired in one of countless interviews. "Happiness is overrated. For me, contentment is a given. My entire life has been satisfactory," he replied. "I have no regrets. I cut out anything negative."
