This versatile player became the first individual in the league to notch five assists in a single game, and his goal and assists amassed a breathtaking six goals at Chase Stadium - a league record. Recently, during Miami's triumph over New England Revolution, Messi produced two other MLS firsts.
He's now achieved the feat of scoring and assisting in six back-to-back league encounters, raising his season's goal count to 10 in just eight encounters, matching Suárez's tally. There's no other player in the MLS who's dished out more assists than Messi's astounding 12 this season.

Messi then propelled Miami to a 2-1 lead before setting up Suárez three times and Rojas once, the latter netting two goals. Emil Forsberg scored a late consolation goal in the 97th minute.
Miami holds the lead in the Eastern Conference and will face CF Montreal on May 11.
