Laura Siegemund rejoices in her third Grand Slam victory.
Laura Siegemund, a tennis pro from Metzingen, has snagged her second Grand Slam victory in the mixed doubles. This time, she triumphed at the French Open, defeating Desirae Krawczyk from the US and Neal Skupski from Great Britain with a score of 6:4, 7:5 in the final. This win adds to her other major tournament titles - she already bagged the mixed doubles crown in New York back in 2016 and the women's doubles title in 2020.
With the upcoming Olympic Games in mind, Siegemund has her sights set on participating in all three competitions. She hopes to team up with Germany's top player, Alexander Zverev, for the mixed doubles. She's asked for his partnership, but she hasn't received a response yet. They had a good run together in the mixed doubles during the United Cup earlier this year in Sydney. Once again, Siegemund has proposed a partnership for the Paris tournament.
