Olympia 2024 - Lady Gaga excitement at opening - but not live

Superstar Lady Gaga delighted the audience shortly after the beginning of the Olympia-Opening Ceremony. On a golden staircase, the 38-year-old gave a nod to Zizi Jeanmaire's "Mon truc en plumes." The singer began her performance with the words "Good evening and welcome to Paris." At the start, dancers covered Lady Gaga's face with pink feather fans. The set design reminded one of a Paris straight out of a fairytale.

Olympia 2024: Lady Gaga's Performance Likely Recorded

According to dpa reports, however, the performance did not take place live. During the show segment at the Opening Ceremony, the stage was empty. It appears that the act was recorded beforehand.

The original dance number of the song, titled "Mein Federzeug" in German, was once Jeanmaire's signature move, featuring a large feather fan. This was not Lady Gaga's first performance in French; she sang in the film "A Star is Born" in the language as well.

After the revelation of the pre-recorded performance, speculations arose about Lady Gaga's potential appearance at the Olympic Games in 2024. Despite the Non-Paris location, Lady Gaga's love for the City of Lights remains undiminished, as she had previously performed in Paris during the 2015 Jazz Festival.
