Kelly Rizzo, Bob Saget's widow, reveals that Candace Cameron Bure was the first person to visit their home following his passing.
In the '90s, Saget gained recognition for playing the father of Cameron Bure's character on the sitcom "Full House." Cameron Bure recently chatted about their bond on the podcast "Comfort Food with Kelly Rizzo." She disclosed how they became close friends, despite Saget warning Rizzo that Cameron Bure was "very protective" of their on-screen relationship.
Following Saget's untimely death at age 65 in 2022, Rizzo revealed on the podcast that Cameron Bure was one of the first people to pay her a visit. The actress described her gratefulness, saying, "It's something I'll forever be grateful to you for."
Cameron Bure quickly acknowledged, "It was 100% for you, but also for me too. It was like...you just can't comprehend it. And with that kind of loss, you just want to be around the people you love and talk it through and maybe find answers."
Sharing her thoughts, Cameron Bure recollected how "shocking" his death was and how she "didn't hesitate" to travel to Rizzo's house upon hearing the news. "I didn't think about it," she admitted. "It was very instinctual."
In the end, it was found that Saget's demise resulted from unfortunate head trauma.
