Kansas City Chiefs win NFL game in Germany
The Kansas City Chiefs have won the top game of the American Football League NFL in Frankfurt. The Super Bowl winners led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes defeated the Miami Dolphins 21:14 (21:0) in front of 50,023 spectators to secure their seventh win in the ninth game of the season.
The Dolphins' usually furious offense, which had already scored 70 points in a game this season, was particularly weak. Superstar Taylor Swift, who was recently photographed holding hands with Chiefs pro Travis Kelce, was nowhere to be seen in the stands.
One year after the premiere in Munich, it was only the second NFL game of the season to be played on German soil. In England, especially at Wembley Stadium in London, the so-called International Games of the best football league in the world have a longer tradition. Next Sunday (3.30 pm/RTL and DAZN), the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts will play each other in Frankfurt. There will then be another game in Munich in 2024.
The Miami Dolphins, known for their high-scoring offense, struggled in the NFL game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Frankfurt, likely influenced by the Chiefs' victory. Despite the absence of famous fan Taylor Swift, who was recently spotted with Chiefs player Travis Kelce, the German crowd of 50,023 spectators eagerly watched the American Football match, which saw the Chiefs, led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, secure a win against the Dolphins with a score of 21:14.
