Champions League - Kane raves about Bayern and wants to win the Champions League

Bayern striker Harry Kane has raved about FC Bayern after his successful return to England and expressed his optimism for the future.

"Everyone has been unbelievable since I arrived at Bayern," Kane told British broadcaster TNT Sport after his team's 1-0 Champions League win at Manchester United. "I have a feeling there's more to come. I feel that I understand better and better what the coach wants. I feel comfortable here."

Kane's dream pass

It was the first time Kane had played a club game in England since his move from Tottenham Hotspur. With his dream pass, he set up Kingsley Coman's goal at Old Trafford (71st minute).

"It was nice," summed up the striker, who had already been crowned group winner with his team. "It's always difficult when you're at the top and have already qualified (for the round of 16), but we were fully motivated." After the 5-1 defeat in the Bundesliga at Eintracht Frankfurt, there was finally something to make up for.

Big goals

Harry Kane is demanding even more from his team for the rest of the season. "We've started the season well, but I have a feeling we can step up a few more gears," said the England captain, setting the title as his goal. "We have enough quality to go far in this competition. That's the goal, to win the Champions League. It will be difficult, but we have to improve. I believe we can still reach a higher level."

The draw for the round of 16, which will be held in February and March 2024, will take place next Monday in Nyon. Before that, FC Bayern will face in-form VfB Stuttgart, who are third in the table and just one point behind second-placed Bayern, in the Bundesliga's top match on Sunday.
