Juventus Turin dismisses talented coach following temper tantrum.

Last night, Juventus Turin celebrated their 15th victory in the Italian Cup. However, their victory was overshadowed when their head coach, Massimiliano Allegri, lost his cool. After their 1-0 defeat to Atalanta Bergamo, he flipped out at the fourth official and a journalist. Consequently, he lost his job.

Juventus Turin and Coach Allegri have parted ways after the cup final. Despite his numerous achievements, Allegri was dismissed because he went ballistic following the loss. The coach received a red card, then hurled insults at a journalist, calling him a "shitty director" who was spreading lies. He even threatened physical harm against the journalist, saying he knew where to find him and that he would tear off both his ears and punch him in the face.

Juventus Turin promptly apologized for Allegri's behavior. The coach regarded this as a "violent verbal altercation in the heat of the moment," adding that he himself had also been insulted. However, this didn't spare his job.

Allegri got into trouble with the referee earlier in the match, leading to his premature removal to the dressing room. He then took off his tie and stormed out. Later, he attacked the editor-in-chief of "Tuttosport," Guido Vaciago.

Now that his time with Juventus Turin is over, 15-time cup winners, Allegri's final games will be handled by their U19 coach, Paolo Montero. Reportedly, the club had considered terminating Allegri's contract without notice and could have saved €7 million net and €2 million in bonuses. Although the coach had a successful stint at Juventus Turin between 2014 and 2019, he returned in 2021. Atalanta Bergamo, who lost to Juventus Turin, will face Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final next week.

Allegri had already faced disciplinary action from the league, receiving a two-match ban and a €5,000 fine for his behavior. Torino, who finished fourth in the league, have already secured a spot in next season's Champions League.
