Jennifer Lopez abandons her tour for family matters: "I couldn't proceed with the performances unless it was completely vital"
In an email to her newsletter subscribers, Jennifer Lopez revealed that her upcoming 'THIS IS ME...LIVE' US Summer 2024 Tour has been canceled. She explained that while representatives for Live Nation announced the news, the reason behind the cancellation is to give her more time with her children and family.
Lopez shared a heartfelt message directly to her fans, expressing her disappointment and promising to make it up to them. "I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary," she wrote. "I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time..."
According to CNN, who confirmed the tour's cancellation with a Live Nation representative, ticket holders who bought through Ticketmaster will have their money automatically refunded. However, for those who purchased through third-party resale sites like SeatGeek, StubHub, or VividSeats, they'll need to contact the respective platforms for more details.
This decision comes amid rumors of distance between Lopez and her husband, Ben Affleck. CNN has reached out to representatives of both stars for comment.
The couple got married in July 2022. Lopez's tour was initially set to launch on June 26 in Orlando.
