At the yearly Big Slick Celebrity Weekend charity event in Kansas City, Missouri, Travis Kelce, a professional football player, joined fellow comedians Jason Sudeikis, Robert Smigel, and George Wendt on stage. In a video shared online, Kelce can be seen participating in a comedy skit with the other men.
Wearing sports fan attire, Smigel and Wendt cracked jokes about Kelce asking his girlfriend to finance a new stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs, considering "a few hundred million is nothing to Taylor. It's just what four tickets to her concert cost!"
Kelce reacted with "Jesus! She just got to Kansas City, guys."
Things became even more awkward for Kelce when Sudeikis, dressed in costume and wearing fake facial hair, asked him a challenging question about a topic he clearly had no intention of discussing.
"Travis, let's cut the crap, just amongst us boys," The Ted Lasso actor said, leaning closer and lifting his eyebrows. "When are you going to make an honest woman of her?"
As the audience clapped and cheered, Sudeikis added, "Taylor doesn't need to work anymore, and trust me, even your kicker agrees with me. He gets it."
This could be a reference to a controversial commencement speech made by Harrison Butker, a Kansas City Chiefs kicker, where he suggested that most women are "most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world", rather than their careers.
Kelce reluctantly reacted with a shy grin and a nervous laugh as he waited for the questioning to end.
Swift and Kelce started dating last year, and the singer is often seen at Kelce's games, cheering him on.
