It's a rhino: Banksy's work reappeared in London

Banksy continues animal series: After fish, a rhino appears on a London wall

- It's a rhino: Banksy's work reappeared in London

It seems like the animal is pressing down the rear of the car with its strength: In London, a bovine Banksy artwork has appeared for the eighth consecutive day. The mysterious street artist published a photo of the rhinoceros on his Instagram account - this way, the Brit claims his actions. Releasing so many works in such a short time is new for the enigmatic artist.

The rhinoceros - spray-painted in typical Banksy style on a wall in the east of the British capital - appears to be attempting to mount a stranded car. A traffic cone on the car's hood also makes it look a bit like a rhinoceros.

A new animal every day

For a week now, Banksy has been surprising Londoners with a new animal artwork each day - he has not yet provided a title or explanation for this "zoo."

First, a mountain goat appeared in Kew, southwest London, followed by two elephants in the Chelsea district of west London. Since then, three monkeys, a wolf, pelicans, a cat, and most recently - on the windows of a police glasshouse - a school of piranhas have followed. Londoners eagerly await the continuation of the zoo.

Two of the works have already disappeared: The cat, stretching leisurely, which Banksy sprayed onto a dilapidated billboard on a northwest London street, was reportedly removed for safety reasons after a short time. The owner has promised to donate the cat to an art gallery. The howling wolf sprayed onto a satellite dish in the southeast London district of Peckham was also removed by several men. This appears to be a case of theft.

Despite his artworks fetching high millions at auctions, Banksy's identity remains a mystery. The artist hails from Bristol - nothing more is known. Speculations about his real name persist, but so far, none have been confirmed.

The interest in Banksy's daily animal appearances has brought People from all over London to witness the new creations. These unexpected additions to the city's street art landscape have sparked many conversations among People, each speculating about the meaning behind the series.
