All seventeen performances during their tour have been completely booked. - Is Oasis contemplating additional live performances and another musical release?
The Gallagher bros, Noel (57) and Liam (51), have caused a significant stir with the announcement of an Oasis comeback. As per the British tabloid "The Sun", approximately 7 million individuals showed interest in the 17 UK, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland tour dates revealed last Saturday (31st August), with 1.2 million tickets up for grabs. An inside source said to the paper that "Millions of Oasis enthusiasts will be left disheartened today", stating that Noel and Liam are considering adding more dates. The reunion tour in 2023 is meant for their loyal fans, with the aim to bring them joy.
Not Just a Nostalgia Gig?
Another confidential source shared with "The Sun on Sunday" that Noel Gallagher is working on new tunes, and he might ask Liam to lay down some vocals. "Noel understands it's about the hits, but he doesn't want it to be solely a nostalgia gig," the insider said. He has several tracks ready, and "if things continue to go smoothly with Liam, it could be nothing short of astonishing."
Due to the anticipated crowd for their 2025 reunion shows, Oasis added three additional dates to their tour schedule before the presale. Liam Gallagher himself revealed this news on the social media platform X. Alongside the 14 previously announced summer concerts, three more were added due to immense demand: at Heaton Park in Manchester on July 16th, at the London Wembley Stadium on July 30th, and in Edinburgh on August 12th.
On August 27, 2024, the group eradicated the reunion speculations with a post and the caption "It's happening, it's real." They announced the "OASIS LIVE '25'" tour, which would be the sole European dates for next year, with subsequent dates for other continents to join in.
Following years of squabbles, brothers Liam and Noel put an end to Oasis in 2009. The band had its beginnings in 1991. After the band's disbandment, there have been continuous whispers of an Oasis reunion.
The addition of three extra tour dates in 2025, including Heaton Park in Manchester, London Wembley Stadium, and Edinburgh, has fueled excitement amongst Oasis fans, as they aim to accommodate the massive anticipated crowd. Despite the reunion tour primarily aiming to bring joy to their loyal fans, Noel Gallagher is also working on new tunes, potentially seeking Liam's vocals, to ensure the performances aren't just a nostalgia gig.
