Pharrell Williams, a famous American musician, isn't just admired for his musical skills, but also as a prominent style icon. In 2024, it was revealed that a biopic about his life would be made, and he personally requested that it be told using a Lego figure. On June 6th, he shared a trailer for this unique project on Instagram.
Telling His Story with Lego Bricks
Back in January, LEGO, the Danish toy company, announced a biopic titled "Piece By Piece", saying that it would "bring to life the unstoppable creative genius of Pharrell Williams brick by brick". Pharrell didn't want a standard biopic, rather he wanted his tale to be told in a way that would let viewers' imaginations run wild. And what better way to achieve this than through LEGO bricks, where the possibilities are endless.
With a Star-Studded Voice Cast
As reported by "People", Oscar-winning director Morgan Neville (56) is set to helm the film, described as "a lively journey through the life of cultural icon Pharrell Williams". Besides Pharrell, several other celebrities, like Gwen Stefani (54), Kendrick Lamar (36), Justin Timberlake (43), Busta Rhymes (52), Jay-Z (54), and Snoop Dogg (52), will voice characters in the movie as Lego figures. According to "People", the movie is scheduled to premiere in US theaters on October 11th, 2024.
