In the realm of athletics, Norwegian phenomenon Jakob Ingebrigtsen has smashed an age-old record. The 3000m champion of the Olympics, he sprinted to a time of 7:17.55 minutes at a Diamond League event in Chorzow, Poland. The 23-year-old dynamo outpaced Kenya's Daniel Komen, who had previously held the record with a time of 7:20.67 minutes, established on September 1, 1996, in Rieti.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen, the 3000m Olympic champion from Norway, similarly broke a record previously held by a Kenyan runner in Norway's neighboring country, Poland. Despite being known for producing talented runners, Norway now has an additional title to its athletic legacy with Ingebrigtsen's outstanding achievement.
