In 2006, the inaugural season of "Germany's Next Topmodel" with Heidi Klum (51) graced our screens. The 20th season, slated for next year, is creating quite the buzz, with ProSieben's planned innovations igniting excitement. Recently, on her Instagram Story, Klum shared some insights into the upcoming episodes.

Representation Across Ages and Genders

Following the introduction of male contestants in the 19th season, they will continue to be a part of the casting process for the anniversary season. The only requirement is that you must be at least 18 years old, with no upper age limit. "I'd love to see more mature candidates, but unfortunately, not many have applied yet," Klum disclosed.**

Closed-Door Casting this Time

Unlike previous seasons, there won't be an open casting in 2025. Instead, candidates will need to submit compelling video applications.

"I'll be reviewing the video applications this year, then some individuals will be invited for an interview, and finally, I'll meet them in person in October," she explained. As of now, she's yet to go through all the submissions: "But I'll be getting back to it this weekend." With little time left, the production team will meet the selected candidates for conversations on August 30 and 31, and September 1.**

A Return to Elaborate Photoshoots

For fans, the elaborate photoshoots are always a standout feature. However, in recent seasons, the focus has shifted towards catwalk challenges. For the anniversary, Klum promises a shift in balance: "Many complained that we had fewer shootings last time, so there will be plenty of fantastic shootings in the 20th season."

Klum hasn't revealed who the guest jurors will be in the subsequent season yet. However, the possibility of Leni Klum (20), Klum's eldest daughter, joining the panel again is on the cards. When asked by a follower if Leni would be back for season 20, Klum responded with a thumbs up, but remained tight-lipped about the details.

The 20th season of "Germany's Next Topmodel," airing on ProSeven, has generated excitement due to Pro7's planned innovations. Heidi Klum, the show's host, shared on her Instagram Story that she hopes to see more mature candidates, despite limited applications.

In the upcoming season, male contestants will continue to be a part of the casting process, with no upper age limit, according to Klum's Instagram story.
