Upcoming trip for Harry, Duke of Sussex (39 years old) is on the schedule. As per his spokesperson, he'll head to New York City during the "High-Level" and "Climate Week" of the UN General Assembly. This event begins on September 22 and runs through September 29, while the High-Level Week takes place from September 23 to 27.
According to the spokesperson, Harry plans to "promote a set of his patronages and philanthropic projects." He'll participate in events with African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst. Moreover, the spokesperson mentioned that he'll "assist in advancing the work of Archewell Foundation," the non-profit organization he set up with his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
Possible presence of Prince William
September's date coincides with an event in New York City focusing on Earthshot Prize, initiated by Harry's brother, Prince William (42 years old). On September 24, the annual Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit by Prince William and Bloomberg Philanthropies will be held at the Plaza Hotel.
Prince William launched Earthshot Prize in 2020 with the goal of encouraging innovative solutions to global environmental issues. By 2030, they aim to award Earthshot Prizes worth $1 million annually in five categories.
However, it remains uncertain if Prince William will participate in this year's Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit due to his children's school starting in late September. At the moment, it's still undecided if his wife, Princess Kate (42 years old), will return fully to public engagements as she's still undergoing cancer treatment.
Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have completed two international trips this year, dedicated to effecting change through Archewell Foundation. They visited Nigeria in May and Colombia from August 15 to 18.
During the event, Harry might express his support for his brother's Earthshot Prize initiative. His brother, Prince William, launched the project with the aim of awarding $1 million annually by 2030. Furthermore, Harry's brother could potentially be present at the Innovation Summit, although his participation is uncertain due to his children's school schedule.
