Football's Premier Tournament - In the final BVB match, Reus is seated on the bench.

Marco Reus was on the bench for Borussia Dortmund's final game. Before the Champions League showdown against Real Madrid at Wembley Stadium in London, Dortmund's coach Edin Terzic chose the anticipated starting eleven with five forwards: Jadon Sancho, Niclas Füllkrug, Karim Adeyemi, Julian Brandt, and Marcel Sabitzer.

On the eve of his 35th birthday, Reus will part ways with his local team. Not many football players have a winning record against champions Real Madrid, which holds the Champions League record: Reus emerged triumphant in three out of seven games against Madrid and lost only two.

Intriguingly, the French international Aurélien Tchouameni found a spot on Real's roster. The 24-year-old midfielder sustained an injury in the semi-final against Bayern Munich. At various points, his attendance at the European Championship in Germany was questionable. Following a conclusive fitness test on Friday, Tchouameni made it onto the bench for the deciding match.
