In an astonishing start to the campaign, Erling Haaland breaks yet another Premiere League scoring record.

This season, Erling Haaland has been unstoppable, smashing records left and right. He's netted nine goals in only four Premier League matches, setting a new record, surpassing the previous best of eight goals in four matches by Wayne Rooney.

Haaland's individual goal tally of nine is more than any other Premier League team has managed collectively, except for his own Manchester City. On Saturday, unfortunately, a goalpost's narrow width prevented him from achieving an unheard-of hat-trick in three consecutive Premier League games.

Instead, he settled for a brace, leading Manchester City to a 2-1 victory over Brentford. This double strike took his goals tally at Manchester City to an impressive 99 in just 103 matches.

His first goal was a crucial one, scored in the 19th minute with Manchester City trailing after Brentford had scored just 22 seconds into the game. His second goal came just before halftime, as he outmaneuvered Brentford's defense, intercepted a long pass from goalkeeper Ederson, and delicately chipped the ball into the net.

Haaland's impressive performance came despite doubts about his participation in the game following the death of a close family member during the week.

Haaland has also become the quickest player to reach 50 Premier League goals, achieving this feat in just 48 games. This is 17 games sooner than Andrew Cole's previous record. If he manages to lead the league in scoring once more this season, he'll join Thierry Henry as the only players to win three consecutive Golden Boot awards since 2006.

Gary Lineker, a renowned BBC broadcaster and host of "The Rest Is Football" podcast, praised Haaland last month, saying, "He's fast, big, strong, and difficult to mark. He's prolific and doesn't worry about missing chances. He may miss some, but a good finisher like him will score many."

George Ramsay from CNN also contributed to the report.

Erling Haaland's outstanding performance in football has earned him numerous accolades in the sport. Despite facing personal adversity, he continued to excel, breaking Wayne Rooney's record for the most goals in the Premier League within the first four matches of a season.

In the initial encounter with Brentford, Erling Haaland notches up his team's initial score.
