American band Pearl Jam cancelled their concert in London on Saturday (29th June). No make-up date has been announced, as the band announced on Friday. The reason being a health issue within the band. Who was affected is still unclear.
Pearl Jam's favorite city concert doesn't take place
"This was the last decision we wanted to make, especially since we know so many of you made travel plans based on our tour schedule," the band wrote on social media: "There simply was no other way, given our current health condition and the necessity to avoid further damage."
The musicians of Pearl Jam are disappointed, "one of our favorite cities on this tour" they couldn't perform in.
Re-scheduling for Pearl Jam not possible
Another sour grapes moment: Re-scheduling the concert is not possible. The band writes: "Despite our best efforts, a re-scheduling based on existing commitments at that time was not possible."
The musicians apologize sincerely to the Pearl Jam community for the inconvenience and disappointment. Ticket prices will be refunded. In four days, a tour performance in Berlin is planned - whether the concert will take place is still uncertain.
