If you want EM tickets, you have to be quick now

The German national soccer team's opponents at next year's European Championship at home have been decided. Fans can now hope to get tickets again. Those who have often been to the stadium have an advantage. But UEFA still has some leftover tickets.

European Championship tickets for the national team's group matches go on sale again at 10 a.m. sharp this Monday. Initially, only supporters of the DFB team who are members of the official fan club will have access to them - and it's all about speed. But after the draw, there are other ways to be in the stadium at the European Championship.

How many tickets will be on the market and how much will they cost?

Just over one million tickets are now on sale. Each association will receive exactly 10,000 tickets per match from UEFA. This means that there are also 30,000 tickets available for fans of the national team for the three matches against Scotland on June 14 in Munich, against Hungary on June 19 in Stuttgart and against Switzerland on June 23 in Frankfurt. The cost per ticket in the group stage ranges from 30 to 200 euros. For the opening match between Germany and Scotland, it is 50 to 600 euros.

Regardless of this rate, there are still some tickets available via the UEFA portal for all 51 matches up to the final on July 14 in Berlin. These are the tickets that were not paid for in the first sales phase, which will go back into the big pot. UEFA will not say how many tickets are involved. According to dpa information, however, these are only leftover tickets. The vast majority of the 1.2 million tickets from the first sales phase are gone.

Who can apply?

Only fans who are members of the official national team fan club, belong to one of the newly founded fan clubs or have registered for the tournament can apply for the DFB contingent. The registration deadlines for all three options have expired. Online registration is sufficient for the remaining UEFA tickets, which is still possible.

How does ticket allocation work?

Loyalty pays off for DFB fans. Members with eleven bonus points for attending matches in previous years have first access until December 7. Those with seven to ten bonus points can order until December 11, while all other fans and those with tournament registration have until December 15. There is a fixed number of tickets for each slot, which will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. More detailed information can be found here. Applications for the UEFA post are possible until December 12. A draw will then be held among all applicants in January. The procedure is explained here.
