Hugh Jackman appears in the movie version of a German suspenseful drama.

Hugh Jackman, famous for his roles in 'Deadpool' and 'Wolverine', gets a new acting gig. In 'Glennkill', a German bestseller turned into a film, he plays a shepherd who enjoys tending to his sheep for their wool. He reads crime novels to his flock like they understand, not knowing the sheep do. When Hardy dies mysteriously, his sheep step in as detectives, searching for the murderer.

As reported by 'Deadline', 55-year-old Hugh Jackman and two-time Oscar recipient, 63-year-old Emma Thompson, will star in this next project. Leonie Swann's novel, 'Glennkill', features George Hardy, a shepherd who reads murder mysteries to his sheep every night. The animals can't comprehend it all but do discuss it, thinking they solve each crime. When Hardy meets an unexpected demise, his sheep take charge of solving the case.

Swann's first novel from 2006, 'Glennkill', won her the esteemed Friedrich-Glauser Prize and topped the bestseller charts for a while. Amazon's MGM Studios will produce the movie. Other cast members include Conleth Hill from 'Game of Thrones', Nicholas Braun of 'Succession', and Hong Chau, nominated for an Oscar due to her stellar performance in 'The Whale'.

'Chernobyl' and 'The Last of Us' showrunner Craig Mazin writes the screenplay. Kyle Balda, known for 'Minions' and 'Despicable Me' sequels, directs the film. With a release date set for February 20, 2026 in cinemas, we'll soon see Jackman and Thompson's detective sheep on screen.

The name of the movie is 'Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie'.
