Sylvia Meis (46), who served as the moderator for the popular RTL series "Let's Dance" for several years, also took part as a celebrity dancer during its third season and partnered with Christian Bärens, who sadly passed away. On Instagram, Meis has shared her sorrow over the loss of her former dance partner.

Sylvia Meis Pays Tribute to Her Late Partner

"A great person is gone," Sylvia Meis acknowledges, expressing her deep sadness over the passing of her beloved dance partner, Christian Bärens. Meis had reconnected with him following her breast cancer diagnosis and considered him a gift for all who had the privilege to know him.

Together, they had been part of RTL's "Let's Dance" in 2010, where Meis had revealed her breast cancer diagnosis. Bärens danced with Meis from the third to the sixth show but had to leave due to back issues. The show's Instagram account shared their condolences, saying, "Despite the fact that he only worked with us for a short time on 'Let's Dance,' the news of his untimely passing shook us. We're thinking of his family and sending them a lot of strength."

Emotional tributes flowed in from other "Let's Dance" stars, including juror Motsi Mabuse (43), dancers Massimo Sinató (43), Alexandru (29), and Patricija Ionel (29), as well as actress Sharon Battiste (32), who had also been a participant, all clicking their heart emojis.
