Amidst the NHL Finals, Edmonton, Canada is in a tough spot after losing the initial three games, but the Oilers are mounting a massive comeback. Leon Draisaitl's remarkable performance in Germany is just one win away from a miracle.

The Edmonton Oilers made history in the NHL Playoff Final series by defeating the Florida Panthers 5:1, becoming the third team to come back from a 0:3 deficit in the Final series. They need four more wins for the Stanley Cup.

The Oilers took control of game six from the get-go and had a shot ratio of 11:2 in the first period. One of these shots found its target: A powerful pass from Draisaitl set up Warren Foegele for the opening goal at 7:00 of the first period, marking his 21st assist in the playoffs.

Just 46 seconds into the second period, Adam Henrique extended Edmonton's lead (21:06). Florida attempted to respond quickly, but within ten seconds, their goal was disallowed due to Sam Reinhart being offside.

Oilers score two goals in a span of twelve seconds

In the second period, Florida didn't manage to capitalize on their pressure, unlike the Oilers. With seconds to go before the second intermission, Zach Hyman scored the crucial 3:0 (38:59).

In the third period, Florida continued to attack, but the Oilers defended strongly, with goaltender Stuart Skinner only making one save. Florida managed to score through Aleksander Barkov at 42:00 to tie the game at 3:3.

With just three minutes remaining, Florida's goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky was removed from the game. The Oilers seized the opportunity and scored twice within twelve seconds through Ryan McLeod (56:54) and Darnell Nurse (56:55) to clinch the victory. The decisive game for the Stanley Cup is set for Tuesday (2 am MESZ), with the Florida Panthers having home advantage once again.
