Brad Pitt: A Well-Known Hollywood Star - He's upset over Shiloh's new moniker.

A week ago, there were reports that Brad Pitt's daughter, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt (18), wants to change her last name to her father's. According to "TMZ", an application for this change was submitted to the authorities. Shiloh's sister, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt (15), recently performed in a theater production using just her father's surname. But how does the father himself, who is still embroiled in a divorce battle with ex-wife Angelina Jolie (48), respond to his children's decisions? A source revealed to "People" magazine that Pitt is "informed and angered" by Shiloh's official request.

For the father of six, this seems to be a heavy blow. The source added that Pitt was so elated when Shiloh was born that he hadn't been happier in his life. He'd always wanted a daughter. "The memories of losing his children don't sit well with Brad. He adores his children and misses them. He's very sad," the source reiterated. Despite being happy with his current partner, Ines de Ramon, the distance from his children pains him greatly.

Shiloh's name change possibly just a formality

Another source also confirmed Pitt's feelings to the magazine. According to this insider, he still loves his children very deeply and the entire process with the divorce and the ongoing disputes with Angelina Jolie is incredibly challenging for the entire family. As was previously mentioned, Shiloh submitted the required paperwork for a name change on her 18th birthday on March 27. She wants to be known as Shiloh Jolie from now on. The source noted that this change is most likely a mere formality.

Pitt and Jolie share a total of six biological or adopted children: Maddox (22), Zahara (19), and Pax (20) were adopted by them. Shiloh and the twins Knox and Vivienne are their biological offspring. The two met on the set of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in 2005 and fell in love. After their engagement in 2012, they married in 2014 in France. In September 2016, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce. To this day, there are legal disputes, such as regarding a former joint vineyard in the south of France.
